Joseph Johnny, 22, a violent offender, breached his parole when he failed to return to his halfway house on Saturday, Oct. 24, Vancouver police said in a press release.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Johnny, who is on parole for a 2004 homicide where an acquaintance was killed in what police call an “unprovoked and brutal stabbing.

Johnny is of first nations descent, 5-foot-10, 190 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a scar on his right forearm.

Police believe that Johnny may be enroute to Salmon Arm.

Anyone who has information on Johnny’s whereabouts or if anyone sees him is asked to not approach him and immediately call 911.
