Man shot in New Westminster

METRO VANCOUVER - A 20-year-old man was shot near the 22nd Street SkyTrain station early Sunday morning, New Westminster police said in a press release.
At about 1:30 a.m. police responded to reports of a man with a gunshot wound to his right hand. The man, who is known to police, was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police cordoned off the 2200-block of Eighth Avenue and found a hand gun and a rifle that may be related to this incident.
Police are interviewing witnesses and ask anyone with information to call investigators at 604-525-5411.
